Steam Heated Make-Up Air Units

Our steam heated make-up air units provide efficient air replacement and temperature control for industrial and commercial applications. These units draw in outdoor air, heat it using steam, and distribute it throughout the facility.

Key Features:

  • Airflow capacity: 1,000 to 150,000 CFM
  • Temperature rise: 20°F to 140°F
  • Steam pressure compatibility: 2 to 150 PSIG
  • Filtration options: MERV 8 to MERV 16
  • Construction: Galvanized steel or stainless steel
  • Control systems: Basic relay logic to advanced DDC with BACnet/Modbus integration

Ideal for manufacturing plants, warehouses, and other large facilities requiring consistent air quality and temperature control. Units are customizable to meet specific site requirements and regulatory standards.

Modulating Steam Coil Heating in MUA

The housing for the steam coil has been made such that it is simple to reach either side of the coil. Large doors provide lots of space through which the coil may be cleaned and maintained from either side of the housing.

Blank off plates keep the coil in place and aid in preserving the ideal velocity across the coil. Since modules can be bolted together on site, the modular design also makes installation simpler.

Proper header assembly design ensures uniform steam distribution to each of the coil core tubes.

A perforated plate type baffle should be placed right behind the steam supply connection, which should be positioned in the center of the header. Each core tube entrance into the header has an orifice that is the right size.

The dual-tube design, commonly known as the coils, are resistant to freezing.

It is crucial to remember that any steam coil might freeze when exposed to freezing conditions if the condensate is not properly drained. A smaller inner tube with precisely spaced, directed, orifice-type perforations is used in this coil design. Condensate flow will now be guided toward the return header by this.
