Makeup Air Units – Sized Right, Shipped Fast
Your exhaust system pulls air out, and without makeup air, your building fights back. Doors slam. HVAC systems strain. Energy bills climb.
Spec the wrong unit and you’re looking at failed inspections, change orders, and project delays that cost more than the equipment itself. Go with a single manufacturer, and you’re stuck waiting on their lead times, inventory, and timeline.
We rep six MUA manufacturers, so when one line is backordered, we pull from another. When your application needs a specific heating or cooling configuration, we spec it from the brand that builds it best.
One call, multiple options, most quotes back in 24 hours.
Send your blueprints – we handle the rest.

Tempered or Untempered – Pick Your Path
Every makeup air unit falls into one of two categories. Pick wrong, and you’re either overspending on conditioning you don’t need, or you’re dumping raw outdoor air into a climate-controlled space and watching your HVAC fight to keep up.
Tempered units condition incoming air before it reaches your space. That means heating, cooling, or both, depending on your climate and process requirements. If your facility runs temperature-sensitive operations or your region sees real winters, tempered is likely code-required, not optional.
Untempered units replace exhaust volume without conditioning. They work when your climate is mild, when your existing HVAC can absorb the load, or when the application doesn’t demand tight temperature control.
The wrong call here doesn’t show up on day one.
It shows up six months later when your energy bills spike, your workers complain, or an inspector flags the install. Getting this right upfront saves you the cost of a retrofit that would cost more than the original unit.
| Feature | Tempered | Untempered |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | Heats, cools, or both | Replaces air only |
| Best for | Climate-controlled facilities | Mild climates, secondary HVAC |
| Options | Heated · Cooled · Heated & Cooled | Unheated · Gravity · Recirculating |

Six MUA Manufacturers. One Call.
Go direct to a MUA manufacturer, and you get one product line, one set of lead times, and one answer whether it fits your application or not. If their backlog is 16 weeks, that is your backlog too.
We rep 6 MUA manufacturers. That means when one brand is backordered, we pull from another.
When your specs call for a feature one manufacturer does not offer, we source from the one that does. You get the right unit for the job, not the only unit someone has available.
| Brand | Best For |
|---|---|
| Absolutaire | Heavy industrial, custom configurations |
| FloAire | Commercial kitchens, packaged units |
| Hartzell | High-temp, corrosive environments |
| Venco | Direct-fired heating, fast lead times |
| United Enertech | Energy recovery, DOAS systems |
| Canarm | Light commercial, budget-conscious projects |
We do not push one brand over another. We match the unit to your specs, your timeline, and your budget.
That is the difference between calling a manufacturer and calling a rep who knows all of them.
